Guess their ages

I’m pretty sure that every generation has shaken their collective heads as they have listened to the slang vocabulary of their offspring.

In the 1940’s common slang expressions were:

—“Fuddy-duddy” or an old-fashioned person.

—“Gobbledygook” was Double talk or a long speech.

—“Snap your cap” meant to get angry.

In the 1950’s

—“Bread” was money.

—“Heat” meant the police.

—“Ankle biter” was a Child.

—And a “Greaser” was someone with greased and slick backed hair.

And in the 1960’s:

—A “Boob tube” was a television.

—“Chrome dome” was a bald man.

—“Outta sight” meant something exceptional.

—And to “Freak out” was to get really upset.

Recently, I was listening to the radio while driving in my truck. As I listened, I was intrigued with three radio hosts who were discussing a variety of topics. This is what I noticed:

—They spent a great deal of time laughing at their own jokes, which to me, did not seem nearly as funny as their laughter seemed to imply.

—Words that were repeated often included Dude, Awesome, and Super.

—In one quiz that two of them were taking, they knew more about actors on the Nickelodeon cable t.v. channel than they did about world geography.

—And They used the word “Like” twenty-three times in five minutes.

I couldn’t see them, so I’m not sure, but I imagine some of you Can guess their approximate ages.
